Bloom Glow Original Painting 24"x 24"

This new original painting is called "Bloom Glow" and it's oil on canvas 24"x24". I've recently been in California for the cold Utah winter and I painted this one there! In Southern California, the spring comes a lot faster--around mid March, and there are so many pretty flowers early on! I was really lucky to see some nice flowers outside my balcony that were budding, so I took a picture and started to paint this abstract flower piece. Apparently it's a flowering bush called an "Indian Hawthorn"--so pretty! I love bright colors and interesting shapes, so I put a blue-green "glow" around the flowers--at first as an accident, but then as a statement! I love how the flowers look like they're glowing!
